Your consultation is an opportunity for you to discuss the project, and we can both decide if Kevin's Landscapes is the right team for the job. If not, we have long-term relationships with many area professionals and can often refer you to someone who can help. We will also discuss your estimated investment and see if your project will need a landscape design, so you have a better idea of what to expect. If you decide to proceed, we will schedule your on-site visit.

On smaller projects, our estimator will visit your property and spend about 30 minutes getting to know you and your project. The work we do is important to us, and we care deeply about what is important to you. 

For larger projects,  we will involve our design team for a Vision Meeting where you can share your ideas. You will also receive our Style Guide Quiz to help determine your unique style.

Our talented design team will guide you through our design process. To better understand your property and overall vision, we will conduct a thorough site analysis which includes taking pictures and measurements. With this information, our team will create a preliminary outline and send it to you via email for approval. We will work diligently to create a detailed design that meets your expectations. We will review the design together and make any necessary revisions until we have an approved design. Once approved, our estimating team will provide a proposal. For any project requiring a design, we collect the design fee up front to get started.

We will either email you the proposal or schedule an in-person review. During this meeting, we discuss the proposal, our methods, and the expectations for the project. We can look at the potential for a phased installation to accommodate any timing or cost concerns. When you accept the proposal, we will take a deposit to get you on our operations schedule.

As we prepare to begin construction, our team will initiate the mobilization process. We will create detailed construction documents for our crew and schedule your project with the crew leader who possesses the necessary skills to meet your specific needs. We will provide weekly updates on the status of your project to keep you informed.

A week before we start the  project, we will let you know which day you can expect us to begin. Our crew will introduce themselves, mark the property, and get your final approval on where things will go. At this point, it is still possible to make minor changes to the layout, and if your requests require any additional charges, we will communicate that immediately and honestly. Changes are always documented in writing through Change Orders for complete transparency.

We will walk the property with you to be sure everything is done to your satisfaction and discuss any required or recommended ongoing maintenance. If your project involves plantings, we will provide a free moisture meter and the Kevin's Landscapes Plant Care Guide to help you take care of your new plantings. The final payment is due upon completion of the project.
