Kevin Hester Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Landscape Consultant
Kevin grew up loving the outdoors, his family, playing sports, and exploring nature. He began his career with a push mower at 11 years old and furthered his career in landscape construction at 19 years old. He grew up in Dallas, TX, and served in the United States Marine Corps from 2005 to 2009. He founded Kevin’s Landscapes in 2010 and now works within the company as a Landscape Consultant and in leadership. Kevin and Joelle married in 2011 and now have 4 children: Ellie Kate, Clayton, Anna, and Nora. Kevin became a born-again believer in Jesus Christ at 39 years old. The Hester’s are members of Emmanuel Baptist Church and are involved in serving and ministry. They operate a producing farm just outside of town and practice holistic regenerative farming. They raise and sell grass-fed beef, pasture pork, and free-range eggs. If the sun is up, Kevin prefers to be outside. Joelle is a wonderful stay-at-home mom and homeschools their children. The Hester’s love living on a farm and are grateful for the opportunity to work and learn from God’s creation daily. Kevin and Joelle’s personal goals include: building lasting relationships, raising Godly children, and being good stewards of God’s resources. Kevin and Joelle plan to become certified in Biblical Counseling, as that is part of what the Lord used to pull Kevin out of his past sin. Kevin is currently working on his training and certification. He is also active in evangelism and in discipleship of his wife, children, and others.
“Kevin’s Landscapes was not my plan, but God Made it happen and has placed me here to work diligently for His kingdom. God has taught me to take joy in my work, as his scripture intended. I love the people I am around every day and the relationships that have come from my life’s career in landscaping. Praise God.” – Kevin

Zach Gallander Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Director Of Operations
Zach grew up in Liberty Hill (north Austin) with five sisters and three brothers. He found his way to College Station and started working his way up in the Hospitality Industry. He loved interacting with customers and providing them with a quality experience. However, he was ready to shed the suit and get back to his real passion, spending time outdoors and getting his hands dirty. Kevin’s Landscapes provided this opportunity when he came on board in 2019 as a crew member. Zach’s old-school work ethic and desire to learn was evident in everything he accomplished. He quickly was promoted to Crew Leader, Estimator, Director of Sales and Marketing, and eventually to our Chief Operating Officer. His years of management, hospitality, and personal drive make him an important member of our team. Zach married his wife, Kalene, in 2020 and loves spending time with his step-boys Conner and Kade and his son Carter. On the weekends you will find Zach wrestling with the boys, watching Aggie football, and installing Kalene’s most recent Pinterest ideas. The Gallander’s attend Grace Creekside and strive to teach their boys how to be men of God.

Kendall Cote Landscape Designer
Kendall was born and raised in Katy, Texas. Throughout high school, she was involved in FFA which led her to discover her passion for learning about plants and horticulture. She realized she could combine this passion and her natural creativity to pursue a degree in Landscape Architecture with a minor in Horticulture from Texas A&M University (’19). God had a plan for her at Kevin’s Landscapes when Kevin’s mom and Kendall’s dad started visiting about their kids at their high school reunion. Not long after that, Kendall began the landscape design department at Kevin’s Landscape. She loves helping homeowners bring their landscape vision to life and creating outdoor spaces that bring joy and encourage gatherings with friends and family. Kendall married her husband, Brad, in 2018 and soon moved to Iola to be surrounded by nature and rural living. In the fall of 2022, they were blessed with their daughter Rylee and love teaching her all about God’s creation. The Cote family attends Grace Creekside and are very thankful for everything God has provided.
